ice sheets and
desert
waste spaces
or holy ground
it is my heart
and yours
that coldly
warms the
earth to
extinction
closed minds
comfort focused
habits and
fear of personal
loss the ego
and herd instinct
for gain triumph
possession and
status they hold
truth ransom
wills immobilised
by the blindness
of immediacy
the future is
my responsibility
yours and ours
there will be no
joy or fulfilment
without the cost
of giving
thought
of giving
up the moment’s
pleasure
the cause of
the bleakest
effect
neither is the
future mine
only this
moment of
holiness and
surrender
