one of countless
the basis of
all journeys
bruised uncertain
aching resolute
all kinds are
in the taking
first or last or
in between there
is a stampede
not just of boots
and soles there
is one journey
and one step
that makes and
unites us all
every journey is
an outset and
a return into
the beckoning
fading filling
blinding light of
darkness that
lies within
and without
penetrated only
by prayer the
beam of love
the cloak of
darkling God
that opens and
closes everything
at the same
time revealing
that step the
journey where
we are lost
