that’s where he
died the execution
on a skull hill
and where so many
live in every
age excluded
dumped despised
and damned
by neglect contempt
wealth respect
and even truth only
love lives outside
the walls and it
always always
challenges and
disturbs and that
was where he
was buried in
the borrowed tomb
forgotten radical
pain unfathomable
agony is the only
source of hope
and basis of all
faith there in
our inconsolable
darkness comes
the miracle so
few can trust and
see are my walls
too high our
defences so strong –
mortared might
and stony strength
are blown by
this risen one
