Poetry list

focus

the crystal sparkling
drop of dew on the
curving elegant
leaf of grass lit
by the brilliant
sun and beckoning
into the dangerous
realms of frenzied
armoured insects
and the ever present
dance of survival
goodness knows
who eats who a
far far cry from
the curtained
chambers of sofa
and art separated
by focus and
perspective it’s
easy to see as
it’s hard to see
simultaneously
we cannot hold
any kind of
reality only be
held even grasped
and stifled by
the particular
until we enter
a new immaterial
kingdom whose
perspective is the
meaning with
in where nothing
really matters at
the same time
as everything
matters and more –
an explosion of
transcendence
spattering my
power and yours
on an infinite
wall and ceiling
this is freedom
when love demolishes
certainties in
the impossibility
of focus and
scrutiny believing
isn’t up to me it’s
plain to see –
even when blind
