the call of home
into a vast immeasurable cosmos
we make our home where values
and purposes pip objectivity and
material verification so a jagged
uneven pavement challenges my basic
tricycle scooter or skates with
accompanying scraped knees, bleeding
palm or punctured lip the adventuring
over the return home for healing and
restoration the bleak and hostile path
like the cold unfeeling universe and its
maths is forgotten in the warmth of
hearth and heart the wheels and weals
the soles now souls are gathered into
a new picture overriding the gestalt of
pain with the care of others and
resignation of power to power of
power mysteries are more vivid than
missed stories and the shrinking world
of caressing love counters the expanding
universe how clear it is when the ever
complex creation is cradled and
contained in the simple call of home
