history

all our histories are a
painting and a veil life
is so much more and in
capable of being squeezed
faithfully into patterns
we can control types and
shadows create and signify
meaning for the provisional
but the fleeting powers of
mortality have to be
surrendered some
time yet faith promises the
mystery of reality that the
end is the beginning
the precious canvases
and curtains are hung
adorning and concealing
the truth behind the brush
the cloth the pen history
is art and artifice a walkway
for pilgrims a staircase for
worshippers a chariot for
warriors a hallucinogenic
for self–seekers never for
getting the end is the
beginning
